Big surprise to cricket fans around the world, that India’s most succeful captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni on 15th August, 2020 announced his retirement from international cricket. Sharing a video of his journey, the former Indian Wicket-Keeper thanked everyone for their support and love throughout his cricket career. “Thanks, Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout. from 1929 hrs consider me as Retired,” he wrote along with the video.

He notched up a total of 4,876 runs in 90 Test and 10,773 runs in 350 ODIs and 1,617 runs in 98 matches played for India in the shortest format of the cricket. Under Dhoni’s captaincy, he had led India in 199 matches in the 50 over format, won 110.
He holds a decent captaincy record in the 20-20 format. He guided 4 victories out of the 72 matches.
